Hey guys heres some simple Smoothie recipes.

Banana Kale smoothie serves: 1 Time: 5mins

1 Banana

2 C chopped Kale

½ c light unsweetened soy milk (You can use sweetened if you must)

1 Tbsp Flax seed or LSA

1 tsp maple syrup

Place all the ingredients in the blender and blitz until smooth.

Enjoy x


Fruit salad smoothie serves: 4 Time: 5 mins

1 kiwifruit sliced

1 Banana chopped

½ c blueberries

1 c strawberries

1 c ice cubes

½ c orange juice

1 (8 ounce) container of peach yogurt

Throw it all in a blender and mix until smooth

Enjoy x

Cucumber and mint smoothie

Makes: About 3 1/2 cups for 2, 1 3/4-cup servings

Active Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 small cucumber, chopped
  • 2 ripe kiwis, peeled
  • 1 cup ginger-flavored kombucha (see Tip)
  • 1/2 cup low-fat plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro leaves
  • 6 ice cubes

Preparation

  1. Combine cucumber, kiwis, kombucha, yogurt, cilantro and ice cubes in blender; blend until smooth. Serve immediately.

Tips & Notes

  • Tip: Look for kombucha tea near other refrigerated teas in natural foods stores and well-stocked supermarkets. Kombucha is available in many different flavors—for this smoothie we like the taste of ginger kombucha the best

Creamy orange

Makes: 2 servings, 1 3/4 cups each

Active Time: 5 minutes

Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cold pure coconut water, without added sugar or flavor (see Tip)
  • 1 cup nonfat vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup frozen or fresh mango chunks
  • 3 tablespoons frozen orange juice concentrate
  • 2 cups ice

Preparation

  1. Blend coconut water, yogurt, mango, orange juice concentrate and ice in a blender until smooth.

Tips & Notes

  • Tip: Look for pure coconut water without added sugar in the refrigerated section near other flavored waters or near shelf-stable waters and natural fruit juices.

Green Tea

Ingredients

  • 3 cups frozen white grapes
  • 2 packed cups baby spinach
  • 1 1/2 cups strong brewed green tea (see Tip), cooled
  • 1 medium ripe avocado
  • 2 teaspoons honey

Preparation

  1. Combine grapes, spinach, green tea, avocado and honey in a blender; blend until smooth. Serve immediately.

Tips & Notes

Tip: To brew strong green tea, use twice the amount of tea (or two tea bags), but do not oversteep. Green tea should be steeped for no longer than 3 minutes; oversteeping will give the tea a bitter taste.

Mango Lassi

Makes: 2 servings, 3/4 cup each

Active Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped peeled mango
  • 1/3 cup peach sorbet
  • 1/2 cup nonfat vanilla yogurt
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/8 teaspoon orange-flower water, (optional, see Ingredient Note)

Preparation

  1. Place ingredients in the order listed in a blender. Pulse twice to chop mango, stir well, then blend until smooth. Serve immediately.

Tips & Notes

  • Ingredient Note: Orange-flower water is a perfumy distillation of bitter-orange blossoms. Look for it at gourmet markets.


  • Mango Passion smoothie

Makes: 2 servings, 1 cup each

Active Time: 5 minutes

Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe mango, peeled and diced (1 cup)
  • 2/3 cup nonfat vanilla yogurt
  • 1/3-1/2 cup frozen passion fruit juice concentrate
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 ice cubes, crushed

Preparation

  1. Combine mango, yogurt, 1/3 cup juice concentrate, water and crushed ice in a blender; cover and blend until smooth and frothy. Add more concentrate, if desired. Serve immediately.

Melon and ginger smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped honeydew melon
  • 1/3 cup chopped peeled kiwi, (1 large)
  • 1/2 ripe banana, sliced
  • 1/4 cup white grape juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger juice
  • 2 teaspoons lime juice
  • 1/3 cup lemon sorbet
  • 1/2 cup ice

Preparation

  1. Place ingredients in the order listed in a blender. Pulse three times to chop the fruit, then blend until smooth. Serve immediately.

Pineapple smoothie

Makes: 2 servings, 1 cup each

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cubed fresh or drained canned pineapple
  • 1/4 cup frozen pineapple-orange-juice concentrate
  • 1/2 cup nonfat vanilla yogurt
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 ice cubes, crushed

Preparation

  1. Combine pineapple, pineapple-orange-juice concentrate, yogurt, water and ice cubes in a blender; blend until smooth and frothy. Serve immediately


Pomegranate berry smoothie

Makes: About 3 1/2 cups for 2, 1 3/4-cup servings

Active Time: 5 minutes

Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen mixed berries
  • 1 cup pomegranate juice
  • 1 medium banana
  • 1/2 cup nonfat cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup water

Preparation

  1. Combine mixed berries, pomegranate juice, banana, cottage cheese and water in a blender; blend until smooth. Serve immediately.

Banana spice

Makes: About 4 cups for 2, 2-cup servings

Active Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 2 cups vanilla kefir (see Tip)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 12 ice cubes

Preparation

  1. Combine kefir, bananas, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and ice cubes in a blender; blend until smooth. Serve immediately.

Tips & Notes

  • Tip: Kefir is a drinkable yogurt found in the dairy section of most supermarkets, it supplies a healthy amount of protein and calcium and good-for-you probiotics

Grape and green tea smoothie

Makes: About 3 1/2 cups, for two 1 3/4-cup servings

Active Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/3 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup baby spinach
  • 1 cup frozen banana slices (about 1 medium banana)
  • 1/2 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1-2 teaspoons pure maple syrup or honey (optional)

Preparation

  1. Add almond milk and yogurt to a blender, then add spinach, banana, pineapple, chia and sweetener (if using); blend until smooth.
