No more blood draws, spitting into tubes or filling up jugs of urine…

This advanced hormone testing was developed to surpass industry standards for available testing options. DUTCH testing offers the most extensive profile of sex and adrenal steroid hormones, along with their all-important metabolites.

The daily (diurnal) pattern of free cortisol, along with melatonin is included. This unique combination of clinical information is not available by any other testing method.

Effective HRT Monitoring

DUTCH testing was specifically made to be optimally effective for most forms of hormone replacement therapy. Unique methods are used for improved monitoring of oral progesterone and vaginal hormones.

The Easiest Patient Collection

Patients collect just four or five dried urine samples over a 24-hour period. Dried specimen samples are convenient to collect, easy to ship and stable for several weeks.

Analytical and Clinical Validation:

All Precision Analytical testing methods go through a rigorous and ongoing validation process to verify accuracy, precision, recovery, linearity, etc. in the pursuit of the most accurate and precise techniques available for hormone testing.

Validating the Concept

The DUTCH adrenal hormone test is comparable to a Saliva test in that they both reveal levels of free cortisol.

Cortisol Testing Comparison

However, the DUTCH model also provides the amount of cortisol metabolites (how much cortisol the adrenal glands are producing). Some patients may present with low free cortisol and high cortisol metabolites which means their production is high. However, the clearance of cortisol may be up-regulated making the free cortisol levels go down. Both measurements are required to show total cortisol production. Metabolites are not measured in saliva.

Most Accurate Methods Used for Hormone Testing

Cortisol, cortisone and related metabolites are tested by LC-MS/MS. The remaining hormones are tested by GC-MS/MS. The most accurate methods available are used for each test. These methods show increased accuracy over the standard immunoassays used in typical serum and saliva testing.

Now the DUTCH Complete comes with even more information to assist patients in living a long, healthy life!

8-HYDROXY-2-DEOXYGUANOSINE (8-OHDG) measures the effect of endogenous oxidative damage to DNA. The marker is used to estimate the risk factor for various cancers and degenerative diseases.

Adjusting treatments and lifestyle to minimise the presence of 8-OHdG is a productive step toward health and longevity.

8-OHdG is also used to estimate the DNA damage in humans after exposure to cancer-causing agents, such as tobacco smoke, asbestos fibers, heavy metals, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.

There are few laboratories worldwide running tests for 8-OHdG. Typical fees for the test are over a hundred dollars each. Precision Analytical customers will receive the test as an added benefit of the DUTCH Complete™ panel at no additional cost.

8OHDG is associated with…

High cortisol

High blood pressure

Diabetes

Cystic Fibrosis

Atopic Dermatitis

Rheumatoid Arthritis

Parkinson’s disease

Alzheimer’s disease

Huntington’s disease

Pancreatitis

Chronic Hepatitis

Various Cancers including Breast Cancer

The New 80HdG Marker

Precision Analytical Inc., is excited to announce the addition of a new biomarker, 8-Hydroxy-2-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG), to the world leader in comprehensive hormone testing, the DUTCH Complete™ hormone panel.

Precision Analytical’s Medical Director Dr. Carrie Jones explained,

“The 8-OHdG is a marker for DNA damage in the body. Along with chronic stress, degenerative diseases and cancer can greatly affect your hormones such as estrogen and cortisol. This new marker gives you even greater insight at a cellular level! As the disease state worsens, the 8-OHdG level goes up. Thankfully, there are proactive — and likely preventative — things you can do to improve the healing process while checking your progress along the way.”

8-OHdG measures the effect of endogenous oxidative damage to DNA. The marker is used to estimate risk factor for various cancers (including breast cancer and prostate cancer), and degenerative diseases including high blood pressure, diabetes, cystic fibrosis, atopic dermatitis, rheumatoid arthritis, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, Huntington’s disease, pancreatitis, and chronic hepatitis.

Adjusting treatments and lifestyle to minimise the presence of 8-OHdG is a productive step toward health and longevity. Precision Analytical’s founder and President Mark Newman agrees stating,

“Reducing oxidative stress is a key component to overall health.” Mark also believes the “8-OHdG is a great compliment to a comprehensive hormone overview like DUTCH.”

There are few laboratories worldwide running tests for 8-OHdG. Typical fees for the test are over a hundred dollars each. Precision Analytical customers will receive the test as an added benefit of the DUTCH Complete™ panel at no additional cost.
